Brooks Running and the WSTFCA

Just prior to the 2009 WSTFCA Convention, the WSTFCA and Brooks Running entered into a new three year agreement. This agreement continues the strong and supportive relationship that the WSTFCA has enjoyed with Brooks Running for the past eight years. The relationship has allowed the WSTFCA to continue to offer the coaches of the state a great convention and other athlete centered opportunities.

Please consider Brooks for your team needs. Below is a link to their team catalogue.

WSTFCA renews it commitment
to officials proposal

The WSTFCA Executive Board, at its Fall 2007 meeting, renewed it's commitment to getting the WIAA to require certified officials for all track meets. It was decided that the WSTFCA would undertake a campaign to lobby school board presidents and school district superintendents in an effort to pass the officials proposal. The specific number and responsibilities of the officials would be dependent upon the size and level of the competition. Lane Dowell and Lawrie Robertson represented the Pacific Northwest Track and Field Officials Association and pledged their commitment to the plan as well. It was noted that there is a group of officials already in place with a curriculum to teach. Stay tuned for further news as this proposal moves forward.
